Specialising in the repair and maintenance
of wooden boats we carry out a large variety
of jobs utilising our traditional shipwright skills.
We may, for example, be extracting keel bolts one week,
making a cockpit grating the next and fitting a new
deck hatch the week after that.
Repairs of all kinds, from pulled out deck hardware,
smashed toe rails and split planks, to loose rudder
fittings, worn cutlass bearings and seized seacocks
to name but a few, are all undertaken.
Hull and deck caulking, spar making, interior joinery,
painting and varnishing also form a part of our repertoire
of shipwright services.
Some jobs can be carried out afloat, either
at your mooring or marina berth and we have a mobile
workshop allowing efficient working on site and
reduced traveling times.
We also have the benefit of calling on local specialised
marine services, such as electronic, engineering
and sailmaking trades when required.
Written quotations and estimates for
insurance purposes, potential boat buyers and owners
can be provided, along with the contact details of local
marine surveyors should you require them.
As one of the few boatbuilders in this part
of the country, we have our reputation to consider and
we pride ourselves on straightforward advice, good
service and excellent workmanship.
