Colin Evans has nearly 20 years’ experience in building, restoring, repairing and using wooden boats and has been a member of the Wooden Boatbuilders Trade Association since 1997.




Colin gained his formal training at the International Boatbuilding Training Center where he passed with distinction and won the Student of the Year award.  He has worked in Italy on award-winning restorations of classic craft where he honed his woodworking skills and eye for detail. 

Evans Boatwork was established in 1996 whilst Colin lived and worked in Scotland, on the beautiful west coast of Argyll.  Now based in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, (which is just as beautiful) he continues to undertake an interesting variety of workshop based boat work and lectures in modern composites part-time at MITEC, Milford Haven.
